I served as a daily participant in the writers’ room, acting as a cultural consultant for female and woman of color perspectives while contributing significantly to story and script development.

My work included:

Script Review & Sensitivity Reading: Provided ongoing notes to ensure authentic representation of women of color and nuanced female perspectives in character dialogue, relationships, and emotional beats

Story Development: Created the show’s main villain, including naming the character, designing his arc, and integrating him into the series’ overarching conflict

Finale Development: Conceived the climax and inciting incident for the finale episode, ensuring it delivered maximum emotional and narrative payoff

Scriptwriting & Punch-Ups: Assisted in writing multiple episodes, adding and enhancing jokes, refining dialogue, and strengthening plot points

Character Backstory Development: Contributed to shaping major characters’ histories and motivations to deepen the emotional resonance of the series

Creative-Production Bridge: Acted as a liaison between the writers and production team, ensuring story decisions aligned with animation capabilities and deadlines

On-Screen Recognition: Revered by the team for my creative contributions, I was honored by being represented as a character within the show itself
